Creating a new brief
A field-by-field guide to the New brief form, including targets and custom assets.
Creating a new brief
Select New brief on the Briefs page. The form has the main details on the left and a summary of what the brief will produce on the right.
The main details
- Title (required): a name you will recognise, such as "Q3 partner campaign launch".
- What do you want to create? (optional): describe the activity, audience, format and what success looks like. It gives the agents a clearer starting point.
- Brief type: Webinar, Event, Social Assets or Partner Story.
- Promoting partners (Webinar and Event) or Partner (Social and Story): search your partner registry. On webinars and events the first partner you add is the host, and each promoting partner gets their own PartnerStack link.
- Industry: the industry the activity is for.
- Priority segment: the audience you want to reach.
- Partnership Roadmap Workstream: the roadmap workstream this campaign advances.
- Promoted product: the product it promotes.
- Customer journey stage: Awareness, Consideration, Activation, Expansion or Retention.
- Region: filled in from the host partner, and changeable.
Most fields offer suggestions from your captured strategy and earlier briefs.
What this brief produces
The right-hand panel lists the standard assets for the type you picked. Under Add a custom asset you can also ask for a Social post, Newsletter content or a Blog post.
The target outcome
Every brief has a target, set by its type. It starts on a default you can change:
| Type | Default target | Measured from |
|---|---|---|
| Webinar | 200 webinar registrations | Zoom |
| Event | 40 event registrations | The event landing page |
| Social Assets | 500 partner clicks | PartnerStack |
| Partner Story | 1,000 story reads | An aspirational target, with PartnerStack clicks as the measurable stand-in |
All of these count as Leads in your reporting.
Saving
Select Save draft. If the button is greyed out, the footer tells you what is missing, for example a title, a promoting partner or a positive whole-number target.
