Partnership Inputs and Outputs

What this page shows you

This page sets out the exchange at the heart of each partnership: the inputs you provide and the outputs you should expect back, category by category. It makes the give and take explicit, so a partnership is understood as an investment with a return rather than a vague good intention.

Why it matters

Partnerships that are never measured tend to drift. When you name what you are putting in, whether that is time, introductions, content or co-marketing, and what you expect back, you can tell whether a partnership is actually working. It also helps you spread your effort sensibly, so you are not pouring energy into a relationship that gives little in return.

How to use it

Read the inputs and outputs together for each category, and check that they feel balanced. If the inputs are heavy and the outputs thin, that is a partnership to rethink or renegotiate. Use this page to set expectations early with new partners and to review existing ones. Your consultant can help you decide what a fair exchange looks like for each category and how to track it over time.
