Creating briefs with your AI app

Start a Story, Social, Webinar or Event brief from one sentence, answer its questions, then generate and approve.

Creating briefs with your AI app

You can start any of the four brief types, Story, Social, Webinar and Event, with a single sentence. The app saves a draft, asks you what it still needs, and only generates when you ask it to.

Step 1: start a draft

Ask something like "Create a Social brief for Outback Broadband Co. about our new bundle." The app finds the partner and saves a draft. Nothing is generated yet.

Your sentence is treated as a request, not as content. Only the part after "about" or a colon becomes the topic. A title is only set if you name one ("titled ..."). An offer, call to action or speaker is only used if you actually give it.

Story and Social briefs take one partner. A Webinar or Event can name several partners: the host first, then the promoting partners.

Step 2: answer the questions

The draft comes back with a list of questions. What you are asked depends on the type:

Brief typeTypical questions
StoryThe topic and title, and the interview transcript.
SocialThe topic and title, the source material (your own text or an approved Story), which outputs to make, the hook, "What should the reader do next?", and whether you post from a company page or a personal profile.
WebinarThe topic and title, local date, start time, timezone, length (30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes), the joint offer (or confirmation there is none), the speakers, and who presents each agenda row.
EventStart and end time, timezone, city, venue name and address, format, capacity, and one to eight speakers.

Every brief also asks which segment, workstream and customer journey stage from your strategy anchor it is for, when the anchor has more than one option. The strategy question comes last.

The app never makes up a transcript, source material, speaker details or strategy consent. If it does not know, it asks you. Some apps show the questions as a form; if you need more time than the form allows, decline it and answer in the chat instead.

Step 3: review and generate

The app shows you any proposed values, such as a suggested hook or an Event format, before generating. When you say "generate it", it generates the exact version you reviewed. Generation takes a little while. The app checks back with the brief, usually after about two minutes. A Webinar kit takes longer.

Step 4: approve or regenerate

When the brief is ready, the app shows the short copy and gives you private links to files. It then asks whether to approve it, regenerate an output with a note, or leave it for now.

  • Approving makes the brief live. Approving an Event also opens its public registration page, and the app tells you this before you confirm.
  • Regenerating works for Story, Social and Webinar outputs. Event regeneration happens in your portal.

Promoting a Webinar or Story

To make LinkedIn posts for a Webinar, ask for the pre-session posts (to drive registrations) or post-session posts. For an approved Story, the app creates the linked Social brief for you to complete.
