Connect your AI apps

Before you start

The email, sign-in method and Claude plan settings you need before connecting.

Before you start

Connecting takes a few minutes. Check these points first and it should go smoothly.

You need a HockeyStick login

The AI app connects to an existing HockeyStick account. If you can sign in to your portal, you are ready. If you have never been invited, ask your consultant to add you first. An email address with no HockeyStick account is turned away with a message asking you to get an invite.

Use the same email address

When the sign-in page opens, enter the same email address you use for HockeyStick. The first time you connect, HockeyStick matches that verified email to your account and links the two. There is no separate verify step to do in Settings beforehand.

Use the email code

Sign in with your email address and the code that arrives by email. Do not choose a password or Google sign-in, even if the page offers them. Those create a different identity, and HockeyStick will refuse it.

Which address to connect to

The HockeyStick plugin and the steps in this guide use the HockeyStick Test address:

https://platform-test.hockeystickai.com/mcp

If your consultant gives you a different address or client ID for production, use theirs instead.

If your company uses Claude Team or Enterprise

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, your Claude administrator must first add the HockeyStick connector under Organization settings > Connectors. They can also make the HockeyStick plugin available to everyone under Organization settings > Plugins & skills. If you cannot see an option to add a connector, ask your Claude administrator.

Some features need Activate

Briefs, revenue logging and other Activate features only work if your organisation has Activate. If it does not, the app tells you that Activate access is required.

Straight after connecting, ask "Which HockeyStick clients can my account access?" The answer names your account, which proves the connection works.
