Read and log your company's monthly revenue by channel, exactly as the Activate revenue screen does.

Logging your monthly revenue

Your AI app can read and log your company's monthly revenue by channel: Sales, Marketing, Product-led and Partnerships. It works exactly like the Activate "Log monthly revenue" screen, so whatever you log through the app shows up in your portal straight away.

These are company totals, not partner figures

Monthly revenue here is your whole company's revenue, split into four channels. It is not the same as partner revenue, leads, trials or activations, which come from PartnerStack and cannot be changed from the AI app or anywhere else in HockeyStick.

Reading revenue

  • "Show our September revenue."
  • "What is our partner channel mix, and how far are we from the target?"
  • "Which month is due next?"

For a saved month the app shows the four figures, the total, your partner channel mix (Partnerships as a share of the total) and the gap to your Anchor target, if you have one.

Logging a month

Say something like "Log September revenue: sales 4.7M, marketing 2.1M, product-led 1.15M, partnerships 3.9M." Before saving, the app will:

  1. Check your currency and which months can be logged. You can log the current month and the 23 months before it.
  2. Write out all four figures in full with the currency, for example "USD 4,700,000".
  3. Tell you whether this replaces a month that already has figures.
  4. Wait for you to confirm.

After saving, it reports the total, your partner channel mix and the gap to your target.

A few rules worth knowing

  • All four figures are needed. A save replaces the whole month. The previous figures are kept as history.
  • Units. "4.7M", "4,700k" and "4700000" all mean the same amount. If you give a figure under a million with no unit, such as "4,700", the app asks whether you mean thousands.
  • No currency conversion. Give the figures in the currency the app names.
  • If someone else changed the month while you were reviewing it, the app reads it again and asks you to confirm afresh.
  • Logging is for client users. HockeyStick staff can read your revenue but cannot log it for you.
If a save times out, do not ask the app to try again straight away. Ask it to read the month back first, because the save may have gone through.
