HockeyStick in Slack
The HockeyStick agent lets you work with your partners from Slack. You send it a message, it reads your HockeyStick data using your own account, and it replies privately to you.
What you can ask it
- Find quiet partners. Ask "which partners are dormant?" for a list of partners with no qualifying activity for 90 days or more.
- See partner performance and rankings. Ask for your top 10 partners, or how one partner did in a given month.
- Find and review briefs. Search your existing briefs or check one by its ID.
- Create briefs. Start a Story, Social, Webinar or Event brief, answer its questions and review it.
- Approve or regenerate a brief. Make decisions on briefs that are ready.
- Log your company's monthly revenue. Record Sales, Marketing, Product-led and Partnerships figures for a month, and read them back.
Exactly what appears depends on what your organisation has switched on. Type Help at any time to see the requests available to you right now.
It always acts as you
The agent never has more access than you do. Every request runs with your own HockeyStick permissions, and anything that would change your data waits until you press Confirm. See Confirmations and privacy.
How access is set up
There are three separate steps, and each one matters:
- Someone adds the app to Slack. Anyone with installation rights in your Slack workspace can do this. On its own it gives no access to your HockeyStick data.
- Your HockeyStick administrator connects the workspace and gives people licences and credit, in Activate settings.
- Each person links their own HockeyStick account the first time they message the agent.
Your HockeyStick administrator is a person at your organisation that HockeyStick has set up to manage agent access. If you are not sure who that is, ask your consultant.
