HockeyStick in Slack
Give people access
For your administrator. Turn on Slack for your organisation, assign licences and add other administrators.
Give people access
Once your workspace is connected, your HockeyStick administrator decides who can use the agent. Everything here lives in Activate → Settings → Slack & agent access.
Turn on Slack for your organisation
Under Turn on Slack for your organisation, select Turn on Slack and confirm. This lets licensed people use HockeyStick in Slack. You can turn it off at any time. Turning it off stops people using the agent in Slack, and work already done stays recorded.
Assign licences (start with yourself)
Each person who uses the agent needs a licence, and each licence uses one seat. The page shows how many seats are used, for example "Seats used: 3 of 10", and the date your seats last until.
- Find the person in the table.
- In the Agent licence column, select Assign licence.
- Review and confirm.
To take access away, select Revoke licence. That person can no longer use the agent.
A licence never widens what someone can see. People can only use the agent within their own HockeyStick permissions.
Add another administrator
You can share the job. Select Make administrator next to a colleague and confirm. Administrators can manage other administrators, turn Slack on or off, give licences and share credit. The last administrator cannot be removed.
What other people see
People who are not administrators see only their own status on this page: whether they have a licence and whether Slack is on for the organisation. If they need access, they ask you.
Next step
People also need credit to make requests. See Credit and spending limits.
