Activate: running your programme
What Activate is
How Activate puts your Align strategy to work as partner marketing you can measure.
What Activate is
Activate is the pillar where your partner strategy turns into real campaigns. Align gave you the plan. Activate is where you and your partners run the webinars, events, social posts and partner stories that deliver it, and where you see what that work is doing for partner-sourced revenue.
How it follows Align
Activate builds directly on what you produced in Align. During Activate onboarding, your HockeyStick team captures your Strategy baseline: your partner revenue target, your priority segments, your roadmap workstreams and the finance model behind them. Everything in Activate is drafted and reported against that baseline.
You will sometimes see it called the Strategy Anchor. It means the same thing.
When it appears
When Activate is part of your programme, an Activate item appears in the left-hand menu of your portal, under the Framework heading, just below Align. Your Dashboard also changes: it says your programme is live in Activate and offers an Open Activate button. The pipeline card on your Dashboard gains a Strategy baseline step after the four Align agents, marked Captured once your baseline is in place.
The idea in one loop
Activate follows a simple cycle, which you will see across the top of your Activate home page:
- Strategy: your captured baseline.
- Brief: you describe a campaign. In Activate a campaign is called a brief.
- Produce: the agents create on-brand drafts for that brief.
- Approve: you review, edit and approve what is ready.
- Measure: partner outcomes flow in from PartnerStack and your monthly revenue figures.
- Recommend: a monthly review suggests what to do next.
What you do, and what is done for you
- You write briefs, review and approve drafts, share approved material with your partners, and log your company revenue each month.
- The agents draft the campaign material and the monthly analysis.
- PartnerStack supplies partner leads, trials, activations and partner revenue. Those numbers come straight from PartnerStack and cannot be edited in the portal.
