Reviewing a story and resolving placeholders

How to fill placeholders, check source support, get partner sign-off and approve a story.

Reviewing a story and resolving placeholders

A generated story is a draft for you and your partner to check. Approval only opens once every placeholder is resolved, the content has been checked against the interview, and the latest generation has passed its quality checks.

Placeholders

When the interview did not contain something the story needs, the agent does not make it up. It writes [PLACEHOLDER] instead.

A panel headed Resolve placeholders before approval lists every one. Select an item and the page jumps to that field and highlights the placeholder. Replace each one with verified information from your source material. While any remain, approval is blocked.

Short interviews produce more placeholders. If there are many, adding more interview material and regenerating can be quicker than filling each by hand.

Source support

In Source support and partner sign-off, select Check source support. Activate checks the story against the saved transcript. Exact quotes are checked directly; the wider narrative gets a model review that still needs your judgement. Unsupported or unchecked content blocks approval.

Partner sign-off

Your partner signs off outside the portal, through a private link:

  1. Enter the Partner recipient name and Partner recipient email.
  2. Select Create partner share link.
  3. Send the link to your partner. It is private and expires in 7 days.

Your partner reads the story and records their sign-off on that page. The panel then shows who signed off. You can Revoke link at any time. If the story changes, the old link no longer applies, so create a new one.

Approving

The Approvals panel tracks three steps: the internal story review, your partner's sign-off, and your approval, which is the publish gate. Add an optional approval note and approve. The whole asset set (case study, newsletter snippet and LinkedIn post) is approved together. Approval does not publish anywhere.

Changes after approval

Choose Request changes and describe what should change. Activate creates a new draft revision. Earlier revisions are kept exactly as they were and can be viewed read-only.

Branding

Before approval you can switch the story between client and partner branding. Approved stories keep their branding.

Measuring a story

Exact story reads are not available, so your story-read target is an aspiration. Activate reports PartnerStack tracked-link clicks across LinkedIn and newsletter within the campaign window as the measurable stand-in. Clicks are never counted as reads.
