Activate briefs and campaigns
What a brief is
In Activate a campaign is called a brief. Here are the four types and how the Briefs page works.
What a brief is
In Activate, every campaign starts as a brief: a short description of the activity you want to run, who it is for, which partner it is with and what success looks like. The agents use your brief, together with your captured strategy, to draft the campaign material.
The four brief types
| Type | What it is for | What it produces |
|---|---|---|
| Webinar | A co-hosted webinar with one or more partners. | Agenda and run sheet, Zoom webinar with tracked registration, registration page copy, emails, graphics and LinkedIn posts. |
| Event | An in-person partner event or executive briefing. | Run sheet and guest list, a hosted landing page, an on-site check-in QR code, and LinkedIn posts. |
| Social Assets | A push of partner-ready LinkedIn posts. | A LinkedIn post set and, if you want it, partner referral copy. |
| Partner Story | A story built from a customer or partner interview. | A website case study, a newsletter snippet and a LinkedIn post. |
Webinars and events can have several promoting partners. Social and Story briefs are with one partner.
The Briefs page
Open Briefs in the Activate navigation. The banner, "Create and review all Partner Marketing briefs", shows how many assets are pending, how many are approved, and how many briefs have strategy feedback.
- New brief starts a new campaign.
- The search box finds briefs by title, partner or ID.
- Filters narrow the list to All, Active, Needs attention, Assets pending or Assets approved, or to one type: Webinars, Events, Social or Stories.
Each row shows the brief, its Brief stage, its asset progress (how many of its assets are approved), the partner and region, the agent that produces it, and when it was last updated. Select a brief to open it.
How a brief moves
- You save a brief as a draft.
- Activate checks it against your partnership strategy.
- You start setup, which opens the right workspace: Webinars, Events, Social or Stories.
- You add the details, generate drafts, review them and approve.
