Setting up social posts

The four parts of Social setup: source material, the hook, the channel and the call to action.

Setting up social posts

A Social Assets brief produces partner-ready LinkedIn posts, and optionally partner referral copy. Start setup from the brief to open Social setup. Your social work is listed on the Social page ("Prepare partner-ready posts").

HockeyStick creates editable copy only. It never publishes or sends the post.

1. Source material

The agent treats your source as facts and rewrites them into posts. Choose one:

  • Approved source: an approved Story or a webinar's landing page copy.
  • Paste plain text: paste your own material.
  • Private upload: one TXT, PDF or DOCX file.

If your source covers several angles, you can pick one, or choose "No angle · use the whole source".

2. The hook

The opening message that anchors every post. Keep it short and specific.

3. Channel

Social posts are created for LinkedIn. Each generation writes three LinkedIn voices:

  • a company-page post
  • a personal-profile post for a named executive
  • a partner-voiced post

Each is 150 to 220 words with its own downloadable LinkedIn image. Enter the Executive name (and, optionally, their title) for the personal-profile post. HockeyStick uses only that name and title and never invents the executive's experience or results.

You can also tick Referral copy: a single partner-branded piece of copy, separate from the LinkedIn posts. The partner's PartnerStack link attaches to it only after approval.

4. Call to action

Add your CTA. When the partner has a synced PartnerStack link, HockeyStick attaches it to each post at generation, so clicks are credited to the partner.

Generate

Select Save and generate. When the drafts are ready you will see "Social Drafts generated." If generation does not finish, your setup is still saved; use Retry saved setup.

Later, Save social details updates the setup without replacing posts already drafted or approved.

If the partner has no branding yet, you can still generate. The drafts use your branding and are clearly labelled until the partner's logo and colour are added.
