Connect your AI apps
Privacy, records and disconnecting
What is recorded when your AI app uses HockeyStick, and how to disconnect it for good.
Privacy, records and disconnecting
Connecting an AI app does not widen what anyone can see. Here is what happens to your data and how to switch the connection off.
It acts as you
Every request runs as your HockeyStick login. The app sees exactly what you can see in the portal, within your own organisation, and nothing more.
What HockeyStick records
Every call is recorded against your account: which tool was used, when, whether it succeeded, and which app it came from. Passwords, sign-in tokens and private download links are stripped out of these records.
What stays in your AI app
Anything HockeyStick returns to your AI app becomes part of that conversation in the app. Removing the connection stops new reads, but it does not pull back answers you already received. Treat links to brief files as private, and do not share them outside your team.
Disconnecting
To stop all AI apps using your account:
- In HockeyStick, open Settings.
- In the Connected AI apps card, click Disconnect.
- Remove the connector in each AI app as well (see below).
After you disconnect, the card shows "Disconnected" and a Grant revocation status, such as In progress or Confirmed. Existing sign-ins can no longer reconnect, even if the app still holds them.
Removing the connector from each app
- Claude: remove the connector under Customize, then Connectors.
- Codex: run
codex mcp logout hockeystick, thencodex mcp remove hockeystick. - Claude Code: type
/mcpand clear the authentication, then runclaude mcp remove --scope user hockeystick.
Signing out of HockeyStick in your browser does not disconnect an AI app.
