HockeyStick in Slack
Confirmations and privacy
Nothing changes until you press Confirm, the agent only sees what you can see, and replies stay private.
Confirmations and privacy
The agent is built so you stay in control of your data. Two rules sit under everything it does.
Nothing changes until you press Confirm
Whenever a request would save or change something, such as saving a brief draft, generating a brief, approving a brief or logging revenue, the agent does not do it straight away. It shows a summary of exactly what will happen, with two buttons:
- Confirm carries out exactly what the summary says.
- Cancel discards it. The agent replies "Cancelled. Nothing was recorded."
A few details keep this safe:
- A confirmation lasts ten minutes and can be used once. After that the agent says it has expired or was already used. Repeat the request for a fresh one.
- If your access or the workspace connection changed since the summary was shown, the confirmation is refused. Repeat the request.
- If something changed in HockeyStick in the meantime, such as the brief or the month's figures, the agent stops rather than overwrite it.
- If the agent cannot tell whether a change went through, it says so and does not try again. It tells you how to check first.
Reading data, such as rankings or a partner's performance, needs no confirmation because it changes nothing.
It only sees what you can see
The agent runs as you, using your own HockeyStick account and permissions. A licence never adds access. If your HockeyStick access changes, the agent's access changes with it straight away.
Your conversation is private
- Business requests are answered only in your private Messages conversation with HockeyStick.
- In a shared channel, the agent replies only to you and asks you to continue privately.
- Generated files and links are posted in your private thread. Links are private and last seven days.
- Answers come from AI working on your data, so check important figures before you act on them.
What is recorded
Your organisation keeps a record of what was done through the agent. Disconnecting Slack or removing a licence stops further work, and completed actions and usage stay recorded.
