HockeyStick in Slack

Disconnecting and uninstalling

Unlink your own account, disconnect a workspace, or remove the app, and what each one changes.

Disconnecting and uninstalling

There are a few ways to stop using the agent, depending on whether it is just you or your whole organisation.

Open the HockeyStick app's Home tab in Slack and select Unlink account. Only your link is removed. Everyone else keeps working. You can link again at any time.

Remove someone's access (administrators)

In Activate → Settings → Slack & agent access, select Revoke licence next to the person. They can no longer use the agent. To pause it for everyone, select Turn off Slack. Work already done stays recorded.

Disconnect the workspace (administrators)

In the same settings page, find the connected workspace and select Disconnect, then Disconnect workspace. This:

  • revokes everyone's personal HockeyStick connection for that workspace
  • stops further work through the agent there

Completed actions and usage stay recorded. To use the agent again, connect the workspace again and people relink.

Uninstall the app from Slack

If someone removes HockeyStick from your Slack workspace, every personal connection in that workspace is revoked. In HockeyStick settings the workspace shows Reconnect required.

Reinstalling

After the app is reinstalled, your administrator needs to confirm the workspace again in HockeyStick settings, using Connect Slack workspace. Then each person links their account again the next time they message the agent. Licences and credit are not affected.

Slack's routine security refresh of the app does not disconnect anyone. Only uninstalling, revoking or reconnecting the workspace does.
