Link your HockeyStick account

Before the agent can work for you, you link your Slack account to your own HockeyStick account. You do this once, and it takes a minute.

Before you start

• Your administrator has connected your Slack workspace and given you a licence.
• You are a full member of the Slack workspace. Guests cannot link.
• You can sign in to HockeyStick in your browser.

Link your account

1. In Slack, open HockeyStick in your agents and apps, then open Messages and send any message. (You can also open the app's Home tab and select Connect account.)
2. The agent replies privately with a Connect your HockeyStick account button. Select it.
3. A HockeyStick page opens. It shows the HockeyStick account you are signed in as, and the Slack user and workspace you are linking. Check both are yours, then select Link my Slack account.
4. Confirm it is you with HockeyStick sign-in.
5. Go back to Slack. The agent asks "Connect as" your name, and to confirm only if this is your HockeyStick account. Select Confirm account link.

The agent replies that you are connected, with your email and organisation. Your next request runs as you.

Good to know

• The Connect button lasts ten minutes. If it expires, send another message for a fresh one.
• If you are not signed in to HockeyStick, the page asks you to sign in first, then try the link again from Slack.
• Your link lasts 365 days. After that, or if your access changes, the agent asks you to reconnect.
• Nothing you asked before linking runs automatically afterwards. Send your request again.

Unlinking

To disconnect, open the app's Home tab in Slack and select Unlink account.
